First Departure: GF to Minneapolis

I'm leaving Grand Forks for Minneapolis tomorrow then flying out of Msp Sunday!!! The preparation has all come together very nicely and it's been fun seeing friends these past few weeks - August 29, the flying day, is coming fast! Weather is suppose to be 72 degrees and a 60 % chance of rain when I land in Nairobi Monday afternoon. Our group from the U of M will be traveling together, and staying in a national park the first few days that we're in Kenya. I don't think I'll be able to communicate during those first few days, but I'll hopefully be going on a safari! Thanks for everyone's prayers, thoughts, gifts, and help in preparing for this experience! Another "adventure anchored in Christ" begins soon!

12 Days until I fly!

Only 12 days and then I will be on a flight from Minneapolis to Amsterdam and then off to Nairobi - my home for a semester. I just finihsed an incredible summer at Camp Metigoshe and know that it is a whirlwind turnaround to be leaving the country so soon! I am thankful for everyone who has helped me prepare for this trip, and know that it's going to be life changing. A new adventure is about to begin and I can't wait!!!
